Cristóbal de Villalpando: Esplendor barroco de Puebla

Cristóbal de Villalpando’s work required an exhibition architecture capable of supporting both close observation and monumental scale. Proyecto Museo organized a sequence of paintings, controlled sightlines, and calibrated lighting so that the canvases retained their authority within the museum architecture.

Challenge
Enable close viewing of smaller-format paintings while preparing visitors for encounters with monumental canvases.
Response
Blue-green walls, controlled viewing distances, thematic sequences and calibrated lighting support the transition between intimacy and monumentality.
Scope
Gallery planning · Graphic identity · Lighting · Circulation · Installation
