Museo Regional de Cholula
Located in the former Hospital de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, the Museo Regional de Cholula brings together archaeological, historical, and artistic collections. Proyecto Museo developed the interpretive concept, coordinated research, prepared the museological script, and translated it into interiors, display cases, lighting, exhibition furniture, multimedia, and software. In 2017, 3D interactive installations and an immersive projection-mapping installation associated with the museum were also documented.

Proyecto Museo + Visualma: documented technology collaboration in 2017 for the Museo Regional de Cholula.
3D interactive media, hologram and immersive projection mapping
Visualma’s technical sources document two technology installations implemented at the Museo Regional de Cholula in January 2017. Their credits are distinguished here so that Proyecto Museo’s scope is not extended beyond what can be substantiated.
3D interactive media and hologram
Visualma documents a large touchscreen for exploring 3D reconstructions of monasteries and a hologram-like projection devoted to the history of the Great Pyramid of Cholula. The development used photogrammetry for topographic capture and Unreal Engine 4 for interactive exploration. The source attributes this technological development to Visualma.
Immersive 3D projection mapping
Visualma documents that its team collaborated with Ricardo Linares’s museum exhibition design team to plan and design the transformation of a gallery into an immersive experience. The installation integrated a 12 × 4.5 m projection surface with coverage of up to 270°, 5.1 surround sound, acoustic treatment, DMX-synchronized lighting, and a holographic rear-projection surface.
