Museology: what is it and how does it differ from museography?
Museology studies the museum, its functions, collections, audiences, interpretation and relationship with society. In specific projects it helps establish conceptual foundations and criteria for organizing content. What is museology?
Museology is the field that reflects on the museum as an institution and on relationships among heritage, collections, research, conservation, interpretation, exhibition, audiences and society.
